Erwin Lee Acox, Jr. is the founder of Xoca Consulting, LLC, and CEO of Acox Consulting. He is a transformational DEI, organizational culture, and human resources leader with more than a decade of experience advising executives and teams in the nonprofit, public, private, and educational services sectors.

Erwin began his practice in 2012 leading award-winning diversity recruitment and outreach at the Illinois Department of Transportation. Most recently, he was the Director of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Tides, a fiscal sponsor and non-profit accelerator headquartered in San Francisco. However, his career spans more than 20 years of groundbreaking work as a technical writer, senior advisor, and adjunct professor.

Erwin is expert at assessing organizational cultures and helping lead the necessary shifts for centering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

A native Chicagoan, Erwin holds an MBA in Management and Commercial Real Estate, a Master’s in Training and Development, and a bachelor of Psychology from Roosevelt University.
